Former
Southern Jaguar, Brian Johnson will be heading to the
Olympics in Beijing. Brian is a former SU Jaguar
two-sport athlete (basketball and track). Johnson is
also an assistant coach for the Southern Jaguars Track
team. Johnson qualified by finishing second in the long
jump at last month's trials.
Johnson will be wearing USA across his chest in Beijing and he's hoping to have his wife, Pam at National Stadium. Pam is a nurse in Woman's Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The family is reaching out to raise money so that Pam and her sister can make the long trip for the biggest meet of Brian's life. The trip will cost nearly $5000 per person. If you’d like to help, donations can be made at any Chase Bank. Specify that it’s for the Brian Johnson Olympic Fund. The Beijing (China) 2008 Olympic Games are August 8-24, 2008 |
