A
New Year and a new Look for eAppraisal!
The next time you log into eAppraisal, you’ll see a whole new look!
With the exception of the banner at the top of each page, the entire
presentation of eAppraisal has been updated and reformatted. All
users will see the personal performance sections (goals, development
plan, performance journal, past appraisals, documents) at the top of
each page instead of scrolling to the bottom. Managers will also
have more immediate access to their employees’ records with links at
the top of the page. New icons and a revised color scheme are also
part of the new package. Log onto the system and check it out!
A great
feature is the Goals sections of evaluations and
personal pages. The Goals area allows you to add new goals and view
past goals. You can also modify the status and completion
percent of a goal. The Goals page lists all goals that have been
assigned to you. Either you or your manager can add a goal to your
list manually at any time. Goals will also populate this section
based on information entered into the Goals section of individual
evaluations. Because the system maintains history unless you or
your manager deletes information, the Goals section provides a
convenient means of tracking your goals and accomplishments through
the years.
You have the
option of setting start, due, and/or completed dates for your
goals. You can also set the status of your goals so you can quickly
see how they are progressing from the main Goals page. The
Status column on the main Goals page displays the status and an
icon indicating if the goal is in progress, not started, completed,
etc. You also have the option of setting reminders for goals.
These will be sent to you via e-mail at intervals you specify. If
you have a goal with a due date that is very important, then you can
use the reminders to notify you when the due date is approaching.
This feature is also accessible by your supervisor, so that
he/she can track your goal progress.
To access the
Goals section, log in to eAppraisal and click on the Goals icon in
the My Performance Section at the top of the page.

Always keep in
mind that the Performance Journal and the Goals section of
eAppraisal provide an easy way for you to track your accomplishments
throughout the year. If you’re not using these features, you’re
missing an opportunity to track and make your manager aware of your
accomplishments. Information you enter into these sections can be
viewed by your manager and is readily available for his/her
consideration when preparing your next performance evaluation.
Any questions
regarding eAppraisal should be directed to Khipi Parker, Theresa
Gibson, or your HR Representative via e-mail or by calling the HR
Department at x4655.
