Custom Hunter's Molds

Don’t let your family’s hearing go unprotected this hunting season!

Custom hunter’s molds allow normal hearing while protecting the ear from the impact noise of gun shots. Our custom molds take a week to make.

Make sure your hunters’ hearing is protected so they always hear you say, "because I said so."

Director Recognized as Certified Healthcare Facility Manager
The American Hospital Association (AHA) Certification Center announced that Woman’s Hospital’s Thomas "Tommy" Gautreau has earned the designation of Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM). The CHFM is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in a critical field of healthcare management.

Tommy started his tenure at Woman’s Hospital in the spring of 1989 as the maintenance supervisor. He held that position until promoted to director of building operations in September 1997. As director of building operations, he is responsible for maintenance, repair, construction and renovation at Woman’s Hospital facilities and properties. He also coordinates the environment of care committee which is responsible for the hospital’s safety and regulatory compliance issues. Tommy has been involved in managing over sixty million dollars in renovation and construction.

To earn the CHFM, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of work experience and education, agree to adhere to professional standards of conduct, and pass the CHFM Examination.  The CHFM examination tests knowledge required of a competent healthcare facility manager in the areas of compliance; planning, design and construction; maintenance and operations; finance; and administration.  The CHFM program supports the community of healthcare facility managers and is designed to provide an objective rigorous assessment of professional knowledge.

Christmas Families
By Lee Girlinghouse, Christmas Families Committee Chair

It was another fantastic year for Christmas Families! There were 37 families adopted, and 845 lbs of food drive items distributed. Santa's elves worked feverishly to sort out and divide up all the goodies. The Fitness Center retained their winners' title, contributing the largest amount of food drive items, which weighed in at 245 lbs.

Then, there were the Christmas angels. Generous donors made it possible with their financial contributions for each adopted family to receive a complete Christmas meal and a $25 Wal-Mart gift card. Other generous donors stepped forward with furniture, appliances, and/or cash to help adopted families with immediate, critical needs.

Then, there was the STUFF! Yep, Santa's workshop was crammed full of gifts for our adopted families! Now that the dust has settled, it's time to say thanks. If you nominated a family, thank you. Thanks for giving us a chance to help someone less fortunate than ourselves.

To our generous donors who gave financial support, thank you. Thanks to you, each family got a meal and a little something extra, plus we were able to adopt additional families who might otherwise go without.

To the members of this year's Christmas Families committee, thank you so much for your help! Each of you made a difference and I do believe that a good time was had by all as we reviewed nominations, worked the goodies booth at Mistletoe Marketplace, sorted food, wrapped presents, and helped load up cars as the families picked up their gifts.

To department leaders whose staff members were part of the committee, thanks for giving your staff members the time to participate.

Extra thanks to Margie Ricks and our Dietary department for the yummy food!

Thank you Woman's Hospital employees for going above and beyond; providing food, gifts, and a helping hand to our adopted families. Each one of you gives that special "Woman's Touch" to our patients and each other on a daily basis, but you really shine when it comes to our Christmas Families. Thanks for making this another wonderful year!
