OB Campaign

Be on the look out for our new obstetrics campaign featuring our patients and their stories. Some of our moms have already delivered their precious little bundles with us and others will be in our halls very soon. You can read their stories online at womans.org as well as through our Woman's blog (www.womanshospital.blogspot.com), Facebook and YouTube pages (www.youtube.com/womanshospitalbr).

We will also feature our campaign in traditional mediums like outdoor billboards, television, radio and print (225 Magazine and Baton Rouge Parents Magazine). If you happen to take care of one of our moms, tell them thanks for sharing their stories and helping to promote Woman's range of services for pregnant moms and their babies.

As always, we'd love to hear your feedback, so feel free to let us know your thoughts.  The ads are on display in the cafeteria, on the units in Labor & Delivery and NICU as well as in the doctors' lounge.  The commercial will be playing in the cafeteria.

RN Survey
By Sue Neumann

I
n October, Woman’s registered nurses will have the opportunity to be involved in the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI) RN Satisfaction Survey.  In 2008, Woman’s RNs were a part of the 696 hospitals and 73,767 RNs nationally and internationally that participated in the survey.  NDNQI collects and evaluates unit-specific nurse-sensitive data from hospitals to identify factors that affect quality nursing care.  The RN satisfaction survey is conducted on a web-based format that goes directly to the NDNQI database.  The data is evaluated; the results summarized and compared to other database hospitals. The data obtained from the survey is used to demonstrate the strength and quality of nursing at Woman’s Hospital.

Nurses received a letter of invitation explaining the details about the survey on October 1. The survey dates are through October 25.

This year a “quiet zone” is available for nurses to get away and take the survey on Tuesday, October 6, Thursday, October 15 and Monday, October 19, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the T-Building.

For questions or concerns please contact the survey site coordinator, Sue Neumann at  8639 or email sue.neumann@womans.org.

Congratulations
The development team was honored at the September Leadership meeting for their hard work. Thanks for all you do to help keep Woman's exceptional!
