Woman's Hospital files lawsuit to protect neediest women and infants

Tuesday, October 2, 2007, Woman’s Hospital along with a number of concerned beneficiaries filed suit in federal court, seeking to secure crucial funding for medical care for the neediest women and infants of Louisiana.

“The refusal of the Department of Health and Hospitals and the governor to adequately fund the care for which the state is responsible has reached such proportions as to threaten access to many services that we provide to the community at large,” said Teri G. Fontenot, President/CEO. [more]

Tenth Annual Women Living with Cancer Lecture and Luncheon

John Fox, author and certified poetry therapist, was the guest speaker at the tenth annual Women Living with Cancer lecture and luncheon. His talk focused on helping the attendees explore the power of writing to heal.

Fitness Club Trunk Show 
The Fitness Club will host its Third Annual Trunk Show on Wednesday, November 7th from 9 am to 6 pm. The trunk show will feature the handmade creations of the Fitness Club members.

The show will consist of items such as clothing, purses, candles, jewelry, soaps, bath products, and much, much more!
