Compliance Update On December 19, 2006 we notified all employees of the Deficit Reduction Act's requirement to advise all employees on what is fraud and train all employees on the Federal & State requirements. Medicaid is still reviewing claims for undocumented services, medical necessity, record keeping, upcoding, unbundling, etc., so it is very important to remind your employees to only bill for services rendered and fully document those services. Woman's Hospital's employees have a duty to report any questionable acts to their supervisor, anyone in their chain of command or to the Woman's Hotline, 225-924-8757 without fear of retaliation. Callers may report issues anonymously. Other hotlines are the CMS/OIG hotline (800-447-8477) and the Louisiana Medicaid Fraud Control Unit Hotline (800-488-2917).
